Man this weather is killing me! It is freezing! I miss the San Diego weather right now!
Christmas was very good here. Christmas Eve was at Vita's in Marina, and Christmas Day was at mom's in Greenfield.
We opened gifts like at 10pm on the 24th, and then "Santa" came Christmas morning for the kids. We packed up and went to Grandma's after, and "Santa" visited all of us there! I got a jacket i wanted from Old Navy. Santa and the elves must do business with Old Navy! =) We had a great Christmas dinner. We had a deep fried turkey and mashed potatoes and corn, and pecan pie. It was really yummy! Then we relaxed the rest of the day and night.
The kids got sooooo much like always!
I've been taking care of the kids, so I've been kinda busy.
Its almost 2008...can you believe that? I cant! I hope its gonna be a new year, and a new beginning for me! Lets wait and see.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Im in Greenfield for the holidays. I arrived here this evening at about 6:30. I left San Diego at about 12ish. It was a loooonnnngggg drive! But im home, and tired! My mom is finally in the year 2007, and she has wireless internet, so now i can use my laptop here at her house.
Cant wait to see my babies Fabien and Miranda! While i was driving, Miranda was calling me like almost every hour asking me where i was at. I wish they would have been here at Grandma's house, but i'll see them tomorrow.
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve! I cant believe Christmas is here already. Although I love Christmas, I cant wait for it to be over with! There is just too much hassle, and its too hectic, and im broke! I cant wait for 2008, so I can start a fresh new year!

As if her family doesnt have enough problems with the train wreck Britney Spears, now her little sister is pregnant!
Yes, 16 year olds are getting pregnant all the time, but not 16 year olds that come out on Nickelodeon shows that little girls watch! She is supposed to be a positive role model!
Crazy..sad...what a crazy..i mean crazier year this family is gonna have!!

The three suspects in the Natalee Holloway case, have been freed of any charges. There is not enough evidence against them.
Lets see...they were the last one's seen with her. The Van Der Sloot guy was actually the last one with her, and he supposedly left her on the beach drunk. They changed their stories many times throughout this whole time.
Sounds fishy enough to me!
Hopefully this case doesnt go unsolved.

New Jersey is the first state to ban capital punishment since the US Supreme Court reinstated it in 1976.
Because of that, this man Jesse Timmendequas, will not get the death penalty. He is the reason that we have "Megan's Law" today. He raped and killed Megan Kanka in 1994. And was sentenced to death in 1997.
New Jersey is now the 13th state to not use capital punishment, including the District of Columbia. The others never used it, and NJ is the first to use it and then ban it.
I hope California never bans it.
I am for capital punishment. I dont believe in using our tax dollars to care for murderers and rapists. They sometimes have it better off then people that arent bad. They get books and tv's and computers where they can read up and learn more on how to hurt people when they get out. I think its an eye for an eye. The whole thing about "what if they are innocent?". Well then they shouldnt be sentenced to death unless they are guilty. I know if anyone were to do anything to a child or person that i know, and that are close to me, I would want them to get the death penalty. Everyone has their opinion on this, but this is mine.
I especially hope that the death penalty doesnt get banned in CA, because that would mean that Scott Peterson would be off the hook. And if I ever wanted to see anyone get it, it would be him!

This millionaire couple were charged with what a judge called "modern day slavery". It was a 12-count charge, including forced labor, conspiracy, involuntary servitude and harboring aliens.
They brought 2 Indonesian women to the US and kept them as their housekeepers. They were tortured and abused, and rarely fed.
For something like this to happen in this day and age is....disgusting! Im glad that I wasnt alive to witness the slavery era, but to know that people still do this sort of stuff, makes me so angry. Why would these people, who are clearly not originally from here in the US, or if they are, im sure they had family that were in these womens shoes, do this to these ladies? The power of money is what i think it is.
Anyways, this couple can face up to 40 years in prison. I hope they do...they deserve it!

There has been lots of stuff going on in the news, but i'll just pick up at today. If I recall everything from the past week and a half that i havent written about, i'll be here forever!

I had a pretty good weekend. A little busy again, but well worth it!
Friday I had dinner with my friend Natalia. We always try to make time to have a few drinks every now and then. Then I went to my friend Marie's, and had a few drinks there too...that night didnt end with me feeling very good!
Saturday we had a Christmas party here at our house. Sharah and her friends have one every year, and I've been in the group for about 2-3 years almost, and this is the first one I have been able to go to, because I am always in Greenfield when they have their party. They do White Elephant gift exchange, which means you buy a gift that can be for a guy or a girl, and then you pick a number, and thats the order you get to pick a gift. Also, you can steal someones gift, but they can only steal it three times and then its locked, and the third person gets it. There were 14 of us. So guess what number I picked...14!!!!!! I was the last freaking one to pick a gift! Everything I wanted was already locked by the time it got to me. So I ended up with a full body massager. Not that bad. The gift i gave was $25 worth of scratchers. (Lottery). I also got a few other gifts. From Marigar, I got a Hillary Clinton calendar...ha ha...she knows me well i guess! =) From Marie, I got Victoria Secret underwear, and a cute little makeup bag. And from CJ, Victoria Secret Lotions. All the gifts were nice!! I am very thankful for this group of friends that I have found. They have accepted me into their close-knit circle with open arms...both the guys and the girls, and they treat me like im one of them. Sometimes they even forget that I dont speak Tagalog, and they speak it to me. But there arent a lot of people that will let a stranger come into their group of friends that they have had since Middle School, but they did, and i am very thankful!! The night was fun, and a good memory. There was gifts, gambling, pictures, drinks, video games, singing, dancing. Fun!
Today is recovery day, and homework day. And of course...CHARGERS BABY!!! They play the Detroit Lions at 1:15pm. Let go SUPER CHARGERS!!

I have not kept up with this since last Friday, and Friday is tomorrow already! I had a busy weekend, and a busy first half of the week.
Dinner with the gang for Marie's Birthday was always fun. We passed on the drinks after, because I had to do laundry, and get ready to go to Mexico the next day.
Mexico was lots of fun too. I just wish the weather was better. It was cold, and there were a few times it was rainy on us. We went to Tijuana, and we got to sample some different flavors of Tequila, then we were scared, because there were roads blocked off and police on every corner (literally), but it was just a bunch...i mean a LOT of motorcyclists, they were doing a toy drive right there on Avenida Revulicion or however you spell that. Then we headed to Puerto Nuevo, where we ate lunch. Our tour came with a lobster meal, but I got the Carne Asada plate instead! And of course a Margarita. Then our last stop was Rosarito. We went to the famous Rosarito Beach Hotel, and then to Papas and Beer. If the weather were better, then it would have been a lot nicer, but that didnt stop us from having some Margaritas there! =)
Then Monday, back to work, and then i had to attend a concert for my music class that night, and that was boring!
Tuesday, work, and some Christmas shopping.
Wednesday, work, and then some more shopping, and then in the evening Connor one of the boys I take care of had his Christmas concert for school, so I couldn't miss that! It was very cute!
Now it is Thursday, and I have some more shopping to do, and no work! Im going to wait for Sharah to come home from work, so we can to some shopping.
Saturday is the Christmas party for Sharah's group of friends. Well I guess I can say they are my group of friends now too. But this is my first xmas party with them, and they have them every year, but im always in Greenfield when they have them. It's a White Elephant gift exchange. The price range is at least $25 and it has to be for both guys and girls. I have a perfect gift!! Thanks to the help of my boss Robyn!!
So there it is, that is what i have been up to this past week.
I will update some more later or tomorrow!

Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. Until 9/11, Pearl Harbor was the biggest attack to happen on U.S. soil.
I didnt know that...interesting!

It's raining, well we are supposed to have a storm, but for right now, its just raining. It's cold. I wanna stay home in bed all day!!!
But I have to work. I am working overnight staying with the boys, so their parents can have a night to themselves. I know Connor is excited about it! He always hates when I have to go home. It's so cute, lately Spencer has been telling me, when I leave work, "I wish you can stay here forever Drea." We'll have a good time tonight.
Then tomorrow we are off to LA to visit Sharah's cousin Hannah, who just had a baby on Tuesday I think it was. She had a baby girl. Then come back to SD and celebrate Marie's 25th birthday with a dinner at Cheesecake Factory, and then probably drinks after. Then Sunday, hopefully the weather isnt bad, because we are going to Mexico! We are gonna take a bus to TJ, Rosarito, and Puerto Nuevo. Mmmm i cant wait for the homemade flour tortillas!! Everyone else is excited about the lobster, but not me...i dont like lobster. Then when we get back from that little trip, I have to go to a concert at a church, for my online music class, because I have to attend a concert, and then write a paper about it.
So i have a busy weekend ahead of me. I hope im up for everything. With weather like this, it makes me lazy. And plus im not feeling so good.
Have a good weekend!

Yup, he pleaded not guilty to using steroids, and lying to a federal grand jury about it. He was released on $500,000 bond. Which is probably pretty much pocket change to him.
This is just gonna get dragged on for so long, so who knows when we will ever know the truth. But i think its true.

Today, "The Canoe Man's" wife confessed to knowing that her husband was alive. His son's are very disappointed in their parents. These boys (and the rest of their family) thought that their father was dead for 5 years! I wouldn't forgive my parents for putting me through something like that either!
Officials think that John Darwin (and his wife) did this, to rid him from his debts. Dude should have just filed for bankruptcy, it takes 7 years to clear up, he was gone for 5, whats 2 more?
This was a very stupid thing to do!

Today people in Omaha, Nebraska are just trying to cope and wait for this tragedy to blow over their hometown.
Like a lot of them said, "you never think that this could happen in you own hometown." That is so true! I always thought that stuff like this could never happen in Greenfield, or even here in San Diego where I live, but now, I know that anything is possible, and anyone is capable of horrific actions like this...ANYWHERE!
For something like this to happen during the holidays, is the worst timing. Well never is a good time, but during the holidays its even worse. I feel really bad for these people...the people that witnessed it, that were in the mall, and especially the families and friends of the victims.
Mom - I dont know if you remember, but some years ago, we got to the Northridge Mall in Salinas like right after what they thought was a shooting had occurred. Remember?

Here's a missing child article form Denver Post:
Weld County officials are asking for help in locating three children believed to be "in imminent physical or emotional danger."
The children are Daniel, 6; Joyce, 5; and Andrew, 3. They are believed to be with their mother, Evelyn Elmira Jewell, possibly on their way to Mississippi.
Jewell is 24 years old, 5' 4", 100 lbs. She has brown hair and brown eyes and may be driving a black 4-door Honda with a temporary tag.
The Weld County Sheriff's Office acted on the orders from Weld County District Court in moving to take the children into custody.
Anyone with information about the children is asked to contact Detective Bob Roberts at 970-304-6500.

This man has been thought to be dead for 5 years, claiming that he is a missing man from that was lost canoeing, and now he suddenly reappears with no recollection of the last 5 years. All he knew was him name, address and birthdate.
The coincidence besides that he claims to have amnesia for the whole time that he was missing, is that this picture is being claimed to have been taken in 2006 with his wife in Panama. And his wife not too long ago claimed his life insurance, claiming that "it was in good faith that she believed that her husband was dead". And just this fall, she sold her 2 oceanfront homes for almost $900,000 and moved to Panama.
Hmm......very unusual huh?! Can't wait to see how this unfolds!

This guy, who looks younger then me. Opened fire at a mall in Nebraska. He killed 8 people, and wounded others, then he turned the gun to himself. Everyone that has been interviewed, pretty much described the scene at the mall today the same way...it was chaos and panic. I wouldnt even know what to do in a situation like that!!
I was just telling my boss Robyn today after she told me about this, that just yesterday when I was at Chik-Fil-A with Spencer having lunch, I was for some reason thinking...what if someone came in here right now and robbed the place, or open fired? What the heck would I do??!
They said that this guy's mom said that he left a suicide note, and it said he wanted to "go out in style". Well I hope he accomplished what he wanted. Stupid guy man!
Why must people seek attention in ways like this? Why do they have to hurt or kill people when THEY are the ones that are screwed up in the head?
I never like to wish death on people, but people like this, in a way im glad that they punish themselves. Just like the Virginia Tech Massacre guy. If you are capable of doing stuff like this, then its better if you arent in our world.

Chargers win Kansas City Chiefs 24-10. They hold on to the first place position in their division. LT had an awesome game as usual. He has 111 career touchdowns, which makes him 3rd place in NFL history. Go LT!!!
Sadly the Washington Redskins lost to the Buffalo Bills 17-16. At least they had a good game!

23 year old Stacy Peterson is still "missing". Her 52 year old husband who is a 29 year police veteran, says he doesnt know anything about her disappearance. It also just so happens that in 2004 his 3rd wife died from an "accidental" death in an empty bathtub, when they were going through a divorce and custody battle. Hmmm....if that doesnt look suspicious, then what does?
Another thing that I noticed that's a little weird, to me at least, is that Stacy Peterson rhymes with Laci Peterson...its totally irrelevant, I just noticed it though.

Today is the first game for the Washington Redskins since Sean Taylor's death. Before kickoff, they had a tribute to him. People that attended the game, were given the little towel that you see them holding up in this picture. Also, all players in all the teams wore a sticker with the number 21 on their helmets. Being at that game is probably so emotional whether you are a Redskin fan or not! Sad Sad Sad!

Today is World AIDS day. Honestly, I do not know much about this subject. As I have been looking around the internet though, I have found out some interesting stuff. But before I can make any kind of comments on it, I have to do some more research. But here is some interesting stuff I've seen so far:
"According to UNAIDS estimates, there are now 33.2 million people living with HIV, including 2.5 million children. During 2007 some 2.5 million people became newly infected with the virus. Around half of all people who become infected with HIV do so before they are 25 and are killed by AIDS before they are 35.
Around 95% of people with HIV/AIDS live in developing nations. But HIV today is a threat to men, women and children on all continents around the world.
Started on 1st December 1988, World AIDS Day is not just about raising money, but also about increasing awareness, fighting prejudice and improving education. World AIDS Day is important in reminding people that HIV has not gone away, and that there are many things still to be done."

Wow! A man in Georgia was sent a letter by Wachovia Bank after closing his account, that he owes them $211 TRILLION dollars!!!! Imagine getting a letter like that?! That would freak me out!!!
Wachovia said that it is the word processors fault, and basically its a typo. But hey...they better watch it...a typo like that is big enough to give someone a heart attack!! It's kind of funny, but I think the guy is still worried that it will go on his credit report. They have told him that it is being taken care of though.
The article I got this info from had a funny little start to their article. Here it is:
"It’s one thing to bounce a check and it’s another to be so far in the red Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and Donald Trump combined couldn’t come close to bailing you out."
I thought that was funny!
Poor guy!

On Monday, Sean Taylor, 24, of the Washington Redskins was shot in a home invasion. On Tuesday he died. These 4 men who ages are 17,18,19 and 20 are the ones that shot him and invaded his home.
I dont know if they knew that Taylor himself lived there, but im sure it was a big nice house, that looked like it had some nice things in it. The Director of the Miami-Dade Police Department said that these guys had no intention of killing anyone. But....too bad...too late....they did! And they should pay the price for it!

This is Leeland Eisenberg, the man that took 5 people hostage in the Clinton campaign office in New Hampshire yesterday. He said he had a bomb strapped to his body, when really, he had road flares! They say that he wanted to talk to Senator Clinton about helping him get mental health care. He had a hostage call CNN, and demand to talk to Clinton. By 6pm the last of the 5 hostages, which one was an infant by the way, was let free. No one was hurt, and Eisenberg surrendered peacefully.
This man sought out for attention in a very wrong way!! Write a letter dude! Did he expect Hillary to do something right then and there?? Hmm...I always wonder what runs through these people's head...but then again he needed mental help.
In a way this situation frightens me, because I hope to one day work in a campaign office too. And there are crazy people like this, that dont agree with what politicians say, and will do whatever it takes for the attention.
Here is what Hillary Clinton had to say in a press conference after the whole ordeal.

The 2 Kalpoe brothers that had just been re-arrested for the now presumed death of Natalee Halloway in Aruba, will now be free again. They re-arrested all three dumb asses that were last seen with her the night of her dissapearance, and all three claim that they dont know what happened to her. Yeah right! They all look suspicious! It wont be long till they arrest them AGAIN!!

A man walked into the campaign office for Hillary Clinton in Rochester, New Hampshire, at around 1pm today, wich was like 2 hours ago, and is holding two people hostage. They believe he has a bomb.
Clinton is in the Washington area, and not in New Hampshire.
We'll see what happens later!
Hopefully everything ends as good as it can. And no one gets hurts!

The first of the negative TV advertisements of the Presidential race has hit! Although it started on the Republican side...which I usually dont keep track of, this does mean that the rest of those negative, attacking ads will hit...for everyone. And im guessing Hillary will get the most of it!
This one is against Republican candidate Mitt Romney, and his stance on abortion. I believe that it is done by an independent group.
It is starting now, because it is only weeks till the first votes will be cast, by the Iowa and New Hampshire caucuses.

An Atlasjet plane crashed in the mountains in South Turkey. All 57 people on board were killed, including a 6 week old baby that was flying to see her Grandparents for the first time. Sad!
The cause of the crash is still unknown. It is said that the pilot saw the airport, and let them know that they were inbound, but then they lost communication with him. So this plane was close to landing, but they never made it.
Also on board was a group of academics, who planned to take part in a physics conference at a University. A friend of one of the passenger's told reporters that his friend was on his way to his Grandmother's funeral.
All I wonder, is what happened, for this plane to go down so close to home...

This dude won 1 million dollars from a scratcher lottery ticket. Lucky guy huh??!! Well...not really. In 2006 he robbed a bank in Cape Cod! He was put on 5 years probation. He cant gamble, go to any places where there is gambling or gaming....nothing like that. So now, after collecting one of his 20 annual $50,000 checks, they are trying to figure out if he is in violation of his probation. Ummm....i think so!!! A bank robber shouldnt be able to win a million dollars!!!
I dont get it....

Osama Bin Laden has put out another video message on the Al Jazeera Television. He wants the Europeans to stop helping the U.S. with the invasion of Afghanistan. Here are some quotes by him, that I got off of Yahoo! News:
"The events of Manhattan were retaliation against the American-Israeli alliance's aggression against our people in Palestine and Lebanon, and I am the only one responsible for it. The Afghan people and government knew nothing about it. America knows that,"
"It is better for you to stand against your leaders who are dropping in on the White House, and to work seriously to lift the injustice against the believers," he said, accusing U.S. forces and their allies of intentionally killing women and children in Afghanistan.
He also said that the European nations joined U.S. forces, "because they had no other alternative, only to be a follower."
He's telling us that Afghanistan has nothing to do with 9/11, and that the military is killing innocent women and children, which I cant say that might not be totally true, but what are we supposed to think of Afghanistan if they are sheltering this bad man that has killed thousands and thousands of people. If the U.S. were sheltering a terrorist (other then Bush) then whoever would invade our country too. If Osama Bin Laden doesnt want Afghanistan to take the heat for what he has done, then he should take it himself, and let himself be captured. Simple as that. I cant wait for the day that this man is captured and killed, because that is what he deserves, just like Sadaam Hussein. But dont you find it strange that Bush was more adamant about capturing Sadaam, then Osama Bin Laden, who has Al-Qaida behind him, and a better possibility to pull off 9/11 all over again. I guess he was just trying to finish up Daddy's dirty work, and put himself before America. Anyway, Im glad that Osama Bin Laden will not be alive when My children will be grown up, because seeing that i dont know when I will have kids, Im hoping he will be dead by then! But I do know that he has his faithful followers, and Osama Bin Laden may never ever go away.

This is sort of funny. In 2005, this judge put all 46 people in the courtroom in jail, after a cell phone rang, and no one claimed it. He told whoevers phone it was to bring it up to him, and when nobody did, he had everyone arrested!! Most of them came up with the $1500 bail, but those who didnt, stayed in jail. When reporters started calling him, and he realized that it was starting to get to the media, a couple hours later, he released them.
Today....he is removed from the court system. He said that he was having personall issues during that time.
This is a great example of someone taking advantage of their power. C'mon, all of that over a cell phone ringing?! Ridiculous! On the other hand, people should really remember to turn their phones off or on silent in places that is a given i.e. church, class, movies, etc. that they're supposed to be off!

What do you think? I think she could. She is supposedly going to be campaining for Barack Obama. She'd bring in a lot of the female voters, ones that wouldnt vote other wise. She is a really big name, and beyond celebrity, so I think that her suppotting him, will give a little boost.
I know when i see see that celebrities that I like are supporting certain candidates, it makes me think...."hmm...if that person supports them, then they must be doing something good." On the other hand, when i see a celebrity I like that supports a Republican...i see the celebrity totally different, because I know they have totally different views from myself.
In the end, for me personally, I support the candidate that I feel is the best to be our leader, no matter who supports them or not.

Yesterday (Sunday) I went to the Chargers vs. Ravens game. It was my first Chargers game! I have been to a SF 49ers game when I was younger. So this is my 2nd NFL game. It was awesome! There is nothing like watching a game live! It is harder to keep track of whats going on though. We got to Qualcomm a little past 8am...yes...8AM!! We tailgated till the game started at 1:15. Man I had never been tailgaiting, it was just like a big party out in the parking lot. It was pretty cool! I had also never drank beer at 10 in the morning, but there's a first time for everything! =) It was so fun! Chargers won 32 - 14. Whooooo!! Go Chargers!!!!
