Hostages Held At Clinton Campaign Office

A man walked into the campaign office for Hillary Clinton in Rochester, New Hampshire, at around 1pm today, wich was like 2 hours ago, and is holding two people hostage. They believe he has a bomb.
Clinton is in the Washington area, and not in New Hampshire.
We'll see what happens later!
Hopefully everything ends as good as it can. And no one gets hurts!

And So It Begins....

The first of the negative TV advertisements of the Presidential race has hit! Although it started on the Republican side...which I usually dont keep track of, this does mean that the rest of those negative, attacking ads will hit...for everyone. And im guessing Hillary will get the most of it!
This one is against Republican candidate Mitt Romney, and his stance on abortion. I believe that it is done by an independent group.
It is starting now, because it is only weeks till the first votes will be cast, by the Iowa and New Hampshire caucuses.

Plane Crash In Turkey

An Atlasjet plane crashed in the mountains in South Turkey. All 57 people on board were killed, including a 6 week old baby that was flying to see her Grandparents for the first time. Sad!
The cause of the crash is still unknown. It is said that the pilot saw the airport, and let them know that they were inbound, but then they lost communication with him. So this plane was close to landing, but they never made it.
Also on board was a group of academics, who planned to take part in a physics conference at a University. A friend of one of the passenger's told reporters that his friend was on his way to his Grandmother's funeral.
All I wonder, is what happened, for this plane to go down so close to home...

Some Luck!

This dude won 1 million dollars from a scratcher lottery ticket. Lucky guy huh??!! Well...not really. In 2006 he robbed a bank in Cape Cod! He was put on 5 years probation. He cant gamble, go to any places where there is gambling or gaming....nothing like that. So now, after collecting one of his 20 annual $50,000 checks, they are trying to figure out if he is in violation of his probation. Ummm....i think so!!! A bank robber shouldnt be able to win a million dollars!!!
I dont get it....

Osama Wants Europeans To Stop Helping The U.S.

Osama Bin Laden has put out another video message on the Al Jazeera Television. He wants the Europeans to stop helping the U.S. with the invasion of Afghanistan. Here are some quotes by him, that I got off of Yahoo! News:
"The events of Manhattan were retaliation against the American-Israeli alliance's aggression against our people in Palestine and Lebanon, and I am the only one responsible for it. The Afghan people and government knew nothing about it. America knows that,"
"It is better for you to stand against your leaders who are dropping in on the White House, and to work seriously to lift the injustice against the believers," he said, accusing U.S. forces and their allies of intentionally killing women and children in Afghanistan.
He also said that the European nations joined U.S. forces, "because they had no other alternative, only to be a follower."
He's telling us that Afghanistan has nothing to do with 9/11, and that the military is killing innocent women and children, which I cant say that might not be totally true, but what are we supposed to think of Afghanistan if they are sheltering this bad man that has killed thousands and thousands of people. If the U.S. were sheltering a terrorist (other then Bush) then whoever would invade our country too. If Osama Bin Laden doesnt want Afghanistan to take the heat for what he has done, then he should take it himself, and let himself be captured. Simple as that. I cant wait for the day that this man is captured and killed, because that is what he deserves, just like Sadaam Hussein. But dont you find it strange that Bush was more adamant about capturing Sadaam, then Osama Bin Laden, who has Al-Qaida behind him, and a better possibility to pull off 9/11 all over again. I guess he was just trying to finish up Daddy's dirty work, and put himself before America. Anyway, Im glad that Osama Bin Laden will not be alive when My children will be grown up, because seeing that i dont know when I will have kids, Im hoping he will be dead by then! But I do know that he has his faithful followers, and Osama Bin Laden may never ever go away.

Crazy Judge

This is sort of funny. In 2005, this judge put all 46 people in the courtroom in jail, after a cell phone rang, and no one claimed it. He told whoevers phone it was to bring it up to him, and when nobody did, he had everyone arrested!! Most of them came up with the $1500 bail, but those who didnt, stayed in jail. When reporters started calling him, and he realized that it was starting to get to the media, a couple hours later, he released them.
Today....he is removed from the court system. He said that he was having personall issues during that time.
This is a great example of someone taking advantage of their power. C'mon, all of that over a cell phone ringing?! Ridiculous! On the other hand, people should really remember to turn their phones off or on silent in places that is a given i.e. church, class, movies, etc. that they're supposed to be off!

Will Oprah Work For Obama?

What do you think? I think she could. She is supposedly going to be campaining for Barack Obama. She'd bring in a lot of the female voters, ones that wouldnt vote other wise. She is a really big name, and beyond celebrity, so I think that her suppotting him, will give a little boost.
I know when i see see that celebrities that I like are supporting certain candidates, it makes me think...."hmm...if that person supports them, then they must be doing something good." On the other hand, when i see a celebrity I like that supports a Republican...i see the celebrity totally different, because I know they have totally different views from myself.
In the end, for me personally, I support the candidate that I feel is the best to be our leader, no matter who supports them or not.

San Diego Super Chargers!!!!
Yesterday (Sunday) I went to the Chargers vs. Ravens game. It was my first Chargers game! I have been to a SF 49ers game when I was younger. So this is my 2nd NFL game. It was awesome! There is nothing like watching a game live! It is harder to keep track of whats going on though. We got to Qualcomm a little past 8am...yes...8AM!! We tailgated till the game started at 1:15. Man I had never been tailgaiting, it was just like a big party out in the parking lot. It was pretty cool! I had also never drank beer at 10 in the morning, but there's a first time for everything! =) It was so fun! Chargers won 32 - 14. Whooooo!! Go Chargers!!!!

Update
Ok, it's Monday, and I am exhausted! I feel like i have been out of the loop for so long! It's been a little over a week, since ive been on "vacation", and in that week, I have been to Disneyland, California Advetures, had Thanksgiving in Greenfield, and went to a Chargers game. Whew! As fun as it all was, its tiring! Back to normal now...for awhile at least...til Christmas!

Back To The Real World!!
Im at the airport, im on my way back to San Diego from Greenfield. Well actually from San Jose. I have been on 'vacation' from last friday to today. Thanksgiving was very nice. We had a great dinner. The family all together. I think for the first time in history! We always went somewhere else for Thanksgiving. And the first together since Miranda was born! I had a lot to be thankful for. But the the 2 main things, were that everyone I love are happy and healthy....and that my mama was ok later that night.
Im sitting here at the airport...I was here almost 2 hours early!! That's my mom for you. I got less then an hour and a half of sleep I got home past 1am, and I didnt fall asleep till after 1:30, and I had to wake up at 3! I hadnt gone anywhere all week while I was in Greenfield, and I finally do, the night i need to go to bed early. Im young still i can get away with that sorta stuff. =)
So i found something interesting out earlier when I went to check in here at the airport. So EVERYTIME i try to check in curbside, or online, or any other way thats easier then going to the counter, I never could! So today my mom asked the lady why I can never do any of that, and the ticket agent said that there is someone with my EXACT same name that has a security tag on them...GREAT!! Just my luck! Its probably some chola girl that tried to bring a gun on the plane.....JUST KIDDING!!! But I do wonder! But stupid girl...I have to go through the trouble because of her...damn Andrea Denise Rodriguez!!!
Ok...My flight is about to board...i better go. I will be back in business this week, updating you all with the news.

I'm Back!
Well not really, but Disneyland is over! Right now I am on my way back to Greenfield, just passed the 99 to go to Bakersfield. Disneyland was fun. The kids really enjoyed themselves, and that's what matters to me. I was the bravest I have ever been at a theme park. I went on the Tower of Terror ride. I will NEVER EVER go on that again in my life! See, im not a big ride person, so this was BIG for me. I was literally crying! I'll post the picture later. I was sitting next to my 7 year old niece that LOVED the ride! I opened my eyes once during the ride, and it was when we were at the very top, big mistake! So when we got to the top...everyone was whoo hooing and clapping, and Miranda wanted to let go of my hand to clap too. Can u believe it?? I screamed to her...DONT LET GO OF MY HAND!! That was the scariest thing i had done in my life!
Anyways...it was a long weekend. I didnt really pay attention to the news, so old news is gonna be new news to me. I'll update later or tomorrow, when im on a computer. Im on my phone right now. I gotta get back to doing my paper thats due tonight at midnight!!

Hall Of Fame or Shame????
Ok, I hate the Giants (go A's!), but I think I hate Barry Bonds even more. Always have.
But, man is this messed up! He has been indicted for perjury and obstruction of justice. He told a Grand Jury the he did not knowingly use performance enhancing drugs. His maximum sentence for this.....30 years in prison!!
This, right after he broke Hank Aaron's home run record. Could it have been all for nothing?? Not really, he will always be remembered as the one that broke the home-run record, but he will also be remembered as the one that took steroids to break the home-run record.....that's if all this is true......hmmmmm???

Democratic Debate Tonight

I didn't get to watch this tonight, because I was working, but hopefully I will catch the re-run of it. I love watching the debates. Well the democratic ones...I cant watch the GOP ones, because i just get so annoyed with the things that come out of their mouths.
From what I have read on Yahoo News, once again Hillary was ganged up on by Barack Obama, and John Edwards. You know, I know that an election is pretty much a competition, but it is also a time to show us Americans what you want to do to make our country better, and especially right now, when it is at one of its lowest points its ever been with dummy running it! But Obama and Edwards just want to pick on Hillary instead of giving us good answers about what THEY would do for us if they were President. Eveytime I hear them say something, it's "Hillary said this...", "Hillary said that...". That is a lot of the reason why I have grown not to like these two, when before I couldnt make my mind up between the three.
As Clinton was quoted saying today, "People are not attacking me because I'm a woman, they're attacking me because I'm ahead." I agree with her.
I guess she finally got tired of it, and for the first time since the campaign started she responded to Obama with a remark of his own kind. It was nothing bad, something about health coverage. But still to be this far into the campaign, and just making the first "attack" to a component, says a lot about her....to me at least. It means that she isnt on the same level as the other guys. She is targeting something different....the trust and votes of Americans. When all they are doing is targeting her.

Always Last Minute!

Yes I admit it. I am a procrastinator!!! We are leaving for L.A. tomorrow at 5ish, and I still have so much to do. I have had all week to do it, but nooooo of course I wait till the last minute to do it! Actually the biggest part is pretty much out of the way (the packing) but i still have to go to Target and get some stuff, and to the bank...and do some reading and homework. I got home from work at like 7:30 tonight, and ate dinner, packed my washed clothes, put some more to wash, got all my stuff that I can remember that I need for my little vacation. And now finally...I get to sit down and r----wait I cant rest...I gotta do some homework! = (
On the brightside, I get to see my babies tomorrow night, and my Mama, and Sis!
Disneyland......HERE WE COME!!!!!! =)

In Sydney Australia, the Santa's there are being warned not to say the traditional "ho ho ho", because it may be offensive to women. PLEASE!!! They want them to say "ha ha ha"...imagine seeing the Santa's saying ....ha ha ha. No...doesn't sound right.
To me personally, it's not offensive. Kid's dont even know the other meaning of the word! It's ridiculous!

Earthquake in Chile

It was a magnitude 7.7 quake. Thankfully no one was killed. It just knocked down some power lines, and some roofs fell on cars. But im sure it scared the crap out of everyone! I read that there was a 7.8 earthquake in Chile in 2005, and that one killed 11 people, and injured thousands of homeless people. For being so closely powerful...im glad that didn't happen this time!
Do you all remember the bay area earthquake in 1989? I do! I was 5...but i remember!! I was across the street at Mike and Michelle's(at the time) house with my friend Lydia, and it was after school, and then the earthquake hit...hard! She put us in the doorway, and my dad was across the street in the doorway to our house, and he was calling for me, because he was scared...not of the earthquake itself, but because I was across the street, and he was so helpless, and couldnt get me, because the ground was moving so hard. My mom and sister were at City Hall. It sticks out so clear in my memory!! Crazy!
Where were you all? If you remember...

A Little Odd Don't You Think?

So this man in India married his dog! As you can see in the picture, the dog was wearing all the traditional stuff that the women wear when they get married in their country.
I guess the reason why he did this, is because 15 years ago he stoned and hung 2 dogs from a tree, and after that he claims that his legs and arms got paralyzed, and he lost his hearing. So thinking that marrying this dog would cure those things...he married it!
The funniest part to all this.......
After the ceremony, the groom and his family had a feast....the dog.....got a bun!! Ha ha ha ha!!!

I Hope This Doesn't Happen!

The co-creator and head writer of the show Lost, told the New York Times that if the writer's strike keeps going on for 3 months, then the shows that are affected (which is pretty much every show I watch) will have its season ended by December. Also, we might not see any new shows till 2009!!!
Man, if this happens...it would suck!! I am a big fan of some of the TV shows, like Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy...Oh my gosh...what will I look forward to, if I cant look forward to my Thursday night shows??? I really hope this doesn't happen, but if it does...i guess it means more dumb reality TV shows. I say that now, and then I get into them! =) Maybe if that happens, I'll stop watching TV, and just read....ha ha...yeah right!!

3 More Days....

Till Disneyland!! Yay! Im so excited!! I feel like a kid being excited to go to Disneyland. But, I can count how many times i've been there: 1)When I was like 8 or something, with my mom, dad, and sister. 2)Gradnite in 2002(I was 17!). 3) In 2004 I think, with my mom, Fabien and Dolores. See so although I have lived in Cali all my life....Ive only been there 3 times!!
But i think i am even more excited, because this will be the first time that our whole family will go together (me, mom, vita, fabien and miranda). Not to mention that it will be Miranda's FIRST time!! Yup! She's a native Texan, so she's never been there.
The other reason it will be great, is because we are going with our now extended family. My best friend Sharah, Her sister Sherie and her Brother in law Jay, and Niece Kylah.
FUN!! I cant wait!!

It Just Goes To Show

That money doesn't buy you EVERYTHING! If you havent heard already, the rapper Kanye West's mother passed away. What is being said right now, is that it was because of cosmetic surgery, supposedly she had a tummy tuck and a breast reduction.
When I think of celebrities, and people that are very well off, having any type of "procedures" done, I think that they only settle for the best. Well the doctor(Jan Adams) that operated on Kanye's mom has skeletons that are coming out of the closet as they investigate more and more about him. He has had multiple DUI arrests. The Executive of the Medical Board wanted him to have his medical license (which is only good in CA) revoked. Also, I heard something about him having a sexual assault charge on him. I mean...shouldnt you do some research before you trust someone with your life? I know I would, especially if it was cosmetic surgery!
All that aside, it is sad to hear. From what I can tell, it seemed like he was very close to his mom, not only personally, but on a business aspect as well.
Sad....Sad...Sad!

In Other Big News...

Fabien got glasses!!! Doesn't he look so handsome?? I was telling him he looked like Harry Potter. =) His response to that was, "I got the square one's, not the round one's". He is just like Auntie Andi....nearsighted! He says he is wearing them most of the time. That's better then I can say for myself! I just wear mine when I HAVE to, which is when I'm driving...and if I want to watch a movie clearly. =)

Veteran's Day

Today is Veteran's Day. It is also the 5th Veterans Day since the war in Iraq. I know there have been so many wars and so many men and women have fought in these wars, and some have survived, and some have not. But for me personally, the war in Iraq is what I focus on, because it is happening in my lifetime. I support our troops, but I do not support this stupid, pointless "war" that we are in with Iraq. I know that may sound contradicting, but to me its not. I honestly feel that if Bush wasn't our "President", then we wouldn't be in this mess. Then mothers, fathers, sister, brothers, daughters, sons.....and so on and so on, wouldn't be crying over the 3,858 soldiers that have died since March of 2003 when Bush declared war.
To all the Veteran's....Thank You for serving our country.

Super Chargers!!!!

Lately I have been getting disappointed with the Chargers. I mean they lost to the Minnesota Vikings last Sunday, who have a 2-5 record! C'mon!! So honestly, I thought they had no chance this Sunday when they played the Indianapolis Colts. But they pulled it off!!!! Thanks to Sproles and his two touchdown returns! At the end was the scariest when the Colts just needed a field goal to win, and they were 29 yards away, which most of the time is a guarantee good field goal, but NO they missed!!! Ahhh!! It was over! Chargers won 23-21!!! Go San Diego Superchargers!!!

My Weekend

My weekend was nice. On Friday we celebrated Kylah's (Sharah's niece) 5th birthday at Shakey's Pizza. Saturday was mostly lazy during the day and at night we went to my friend Marie's house and had some drinks. Our hang out spot is outside, so it was cooollllddd!!! Sunday I had to go to a concert at Balboa Park. It was an organ concert. I thought it was gonna be really boring, but it really wasnt bad. I have to write a paper about it by next week, for my online music class.

The Start Of Something New
Hello!
So Im gonna try out this blog thing, because I love reading all the celebrity blogs and all that sort of stuff, so I found this website, and I thought..."Hey why not?". If you are reading this, then it means that you are family or close friends of mine. This isnt going to be very public, its just something I am gonna do for you all.
The point of this, is to 1. Give me something to do when Im bored! 2. Take you all into my mind (hence "The Mind Of Andrea") about what I think of everything from celebrities, politics, to my personal life and whatever in between. I hope not to offend anybody here, so if I do...SORRY in advance. 3. Test my consistency...this is like one those things, when you tell yourself you're gonna start a journal, and you write in it for 2 days straight, and then you forget about it. I hope not to do that with this!
Alright...I am off to work! I will be on here later updating this new blog of mine!
Love you guys!
