Pakistan Opposition Leader Assasinated

Benazir Bhutto was shot today after a campaign rally, just 8 minutes after she spoke. An attacker shot her and then blew himself up.

Like all women in Politics, she was somewhat controversial. She had a very powerful place in the Pakistan government. Her father was in power in the 70's and 80's, but he was executed.

I dont know much about her yet, but i was reading some stuff Time.com had about her, and it seemed like all she wanted was democracy in Pakistan. As time goes on after today, im sure we will all find out more about her.

She died an hour after the attack. the doctor that treated her said that she had a bullet in the back of the neck that damaged her spinal cord before exiting from the side of her head. Another bullet pierced the back of her shoulder and came out through her chest.

Seeing as that she doesnt seem like a terrorist leader, or dictator, or an evil leader of another counrty, i think its a sad day for the Pakistani people.
