The Day is Practically Over Already!

I had a pretty relaxed weekend. Yesterday, I was lazy pretty much most of the day, then we went to get some stuff for the house that needed replacing, at Target and Walmart.

We came back home, and a few friends (Ga, Jonas, Marie and Jeff) came over just to hang out for a bit, the guys started playing XBox 360, and us girly's were playing pictionary and Guesstures. Then Nony and Delio came over, and before you know it, it was a little get together! We were just hanging out drinking, playing games. Eventually we got hungry at about 12am, so I made tacos de papa. I had some left over mashed potatoes from the other day, so that's what i used. All we did was play and play. Next thing you know we were hungry again, and it was almost 5 in the morning! So we made breakfast. Bacon and eggs...I had mine with a tortilla, the rest ate theirs with rice! Ha ha! Then we had a little game of telephone I think its called, where one person thinks of a sentence or phrase and whispers it in the person next to them ear. Yeah, just imagine how stuff got twisted, especially with the guys! It was so funny! The gang left a little before 6 in the morning! And we went to bed shortly after that

So, I woke up at 1pm today!

Right after that, we all started doing a little Spring cleaning around the house. But we really only did it, because Sharah's mom is coming home from the Philippines today, she's been gone for 2weeks and we dont want her to come home to a dirty house...which it was! Let me tell you....the house was falling apart without her. All the little things she does everyday keeps it together...like sweep, and just pick up. But yeah, I did most of the kitchen, and now all our appliances look brand new! Ha ha!

So now I finally sat down to rest, and its almost 5 in the evening. Where did the time go??? I know...I slept for half the day. But when you dont have to work, and its raining outside what else is there to do?? I think its time for a nap! =)

Cuba's New President

Raul Castro has been chosen to be Cuba's leader. He put the Cuban army together, and has been their leader for almost 50 years.

Although he is supposedly not like his brother Fidel Castro, I think that he's not far fetched, and Cuba wont be in that much better shape after the 49 years Fidel Castro was their leader.

But let's hope so. Even though we might have one of the worst leaders in the world (in my opinion) we still have our freedom, and are not a communist country.

Why Why Why??!!

Ralph Nader has entered the Presidential race! He is running in the Independent Party.

We all no that there is NO WAY that he can EVER become President of the United States. All he is, and has a reputation for is being a "spoiler". He pretty much ruined the chances for Al Gore in 2000, and thus, we ended up with George Bush as our President!

Hopefully that wont happen this time, in November, but its a real possibility.

Why would you run for President, especially right now in this "historical" race, if you knew you didnt have a chance. I guess I have more pride then that!

Dumb move Nader...or is it? I guess we'll have to see in November!

The Weekend Is Here!

And its a rainy overcast Friday. Good thing I am off, and I don't have to do ANYTHING ALL day if I dont want to! Yup, no work today.

Robyn (my boss) is taking the boys up to Fullerton to her mom's house for the weekend, and they're leaving right after school.

Sharah is back from her business trip to Virginia and she's off from work too, and everyone else in the house is off of work too. Kylah is the only one that has to be at school, but she'll be home in a few hours. We are all being lazy. Im catching up on my blog, Sharah is playing RockBand, Sherie is chatting online with her friends from the Philippines, Jay is cooking Salmon, and their dad is not here at the moment. So its just gonna be one of those relaxing days! I love it!

I have no specific plans for this weekend, but im sure something will come up.

Jennifer Lopez Delivers Twins!

J.Lo and Marc Anthony welcomed 5lb twins into the world early morning Friday. They had a boy and a girl. They were born in Long Island.

Why is this news??? Well because its J.LO of course! I dont know really. It's gonna be a big deal for awhile till pictures of her babies come out. Im happy for her though! She was HUGE! It was obvious she was having twins, but she never confirmed it. Now they are here!

Another Tiger Escapes!

This time its at the Honolulu Zoo in Hawaii. Good thing that nothing happened, and it was right before opening. I guess one of the zookeepers didnt do their job, and open one door, shut and lock another, so the tiger managed to get out. So in this case again, it was the fault of a human. Just like it was in San Francisco in December when those guys were taunting the tiger.

They said the tiger was out for about 30 mins, and it passed by a zoo volunteer, and went into a place where the volunteer can hold him in until help was called.

The crazy thing about this is that Im gonna be going to Honolulu Zoo in about a month. I hope a zookeeper doesnt do the same thing again, when the zoo is OPEN!

Venenzuela Plane Crashes into Andes Mountains

This is really sad. This crash killed all 46 passengers on board. They were 6 miles from the airport where they were gonna land. Among the passengers was the Mayor from a small town in the state of Merida, and his 11 year old son.

They said that the crash was direct, and the plane was practically "pulvarized". The cause of the crash is still not clear, but the said it gets pretty foggy up high in the mountains.

I feel so sad seeing the pictures of the relatives of these passengers.

Officer Escorting Clinton in Motorcade Dies.

While Hillary Clinton was in Dallas, TX yesterday, a police officer on a motorcycle got in an accident while her motorcade made it way to its destination. Thye said he was thrown 30-40 feet off his bike. There were no other vehicles involved.

This is what Hillary Clinton had to say about this tragic occurence:

Clinton said she is "greatly heartsick over this loss of life in the line of duty."

"I just want to express my deepest condolences to the family and to the Dallas Police Department on this tragic, tragic loss," she said.

"I am certainly grateful for all they do for me and more importantly what they do for the citizens of cities like Dallas."

What A Moment She Had...

I missed the debate tonight, I was cooking dinner (meatlaof, mashed potatoes and corn!) But this was the highlight of it. The candidates are preparing and campaigning for the Texas Primaries on March 3rd.

Lunar Eclipse

Tonight is the last lunar eclipse till 2010. It started 7pm Pacific time, and 10pm Eastern time. But it ugly weather right now in San Diego, so I got a glimpse of it, but then clouds covered it.

I wish I could have seen it with a telescope though. You were supposed to be able to see Saturn and its rings. That would have been really cool!

McCain And Obama Win Wisconsin Primaries

Not surprising for McCain, he is gonna be the Presidential Candidate the moves to the November elections, but Obama came out with his 9th victory in a row. He didnt have that big of a lead on Clinton though.

This race is so tight that the Democrats are probably not going to be able to get the 2, 025 Delegates that they need, so Super Delegates are going to have to determine who keeps going to the November elections. The Super Delegates are made up of governors, senators, house members and various other party officials or members -- they are also known as "unpledged" delegates.

Soooo...we'll see what happens!

Under the Weather

Its cold and drizzily here in San Diego right now, and I don't feel good at all. I forgot to take Nyquil last night, so I didn't sleep very good. I was up almost once every hour.

I want to stay in bed all day wrapped in a blanket! But....gotta go to work. Not for very long, but still gotta go.

Everyone in my house is slowing getting the bug. Right now it's me and Kylah, Sharah's little niece. But im sure everyone will eventually get a cold.

We're expecting 3 new storms coming up this week. Which I dont really mind. Id rather it be cold and rainy then extremely hot. Well I'd rather it be perfect weather where you can wear a long sleeve and not be hot, and a short sleeve and not be cold!

Fidel Castro Has Resigned!

The very controversial Cuban leader has resigned! FINALLY! He has lead a dictatorship in Cuba since 1959, and been in power through 10 US Presidents.

His brother Raul Castro will take over. Although they say that he has different views then his brother, they still come from the same family. How different can it really get?

Fidel Castro was a tyrant. He took away basic human rights from the Cubans. Although America is the "land of the free", and we have a right to pretty much do anything, I think George Bush is right up there with Fidel Castro, and Sadaam Hussein. Thats just MY opinion though!

I think Cuba won't be much different, but hopefully things only get better for them!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHARAH!!

Well, her birthday was yesterday, but I didnt get a chance to get on here. She is 26 years old now! Wow, she is old! Just kidding! She may be 26, but she looks like she's 16 still!

Just wanted to take a minute to tell everyone how great of a person Sharah is. She is a near sister to me now. We come from totally different cultures, but over the past almost 4 years that I have known her, we have brought our different cultures together, and its pretty interesting to know how different cultures live. She's Filipino by the way. But ever since I've known Sharah and her family, she (and her family) have been there for me in ANYWAY needed. I have lived with them for almost 2 years, (not consistently, but altogether). They are just really really good people!

So last night we had a party at the house here. It was fun, the guys (and Sharah) were playing Madden 08' on xbox 360, they had a tournament, for a prize. And the girls played Cooking Mama on the Wii, for a prize also. Needless to say, I didnt win! But we also played a game called Guesstures. Its kind of like charades. It was so fun! The things people come up man! including myself, I have to admit I came up with some good ways to act stuff out! =) I drank a little, but I wasnt at my best for drinking, so I didnt over do it. But let me tell you between the drinks and the yelling and laughing, I dont feel great this morning! It was fun though!

I found out that I was pretty talented yesterday too. Before the party, I was cooking spaghetti, baking a cake, making dip, and washing the dishes I dirtied all at the same time! I never knew I could do that! Everything came out good, and was a hit at the party. You can see the cake I made Sharah in the picture above! It was good! =)

It's Been Awhile...

Sorry, I know I havent been up to date with some stuff. A lot of stuff has gone on in the week or so that I have not written on here, but too much to mention!

I am working right now. I have been here babysitting since 1:30pm. And will probably be here for another 4 hours or so. Its going good though. The boys are pretty easy to deal with. All they want to do is play with their action figures, and they are happy. Sometimes they fight and whine, and get a little too rough, TO ME, but what boys dont? They are now in bed, and its quiet time for me! Their parents are celebrating Valentines Day tonight. It's not all the time that they get to get away by themselves, so im happy for them.

Tomorrow is my best friend/almost sister Sharah's birthday! She is turning 26! We are having a party at our house tomorrow night. Food, games, prizes, and of course...Alcohol! =) I dont know how much im gonna be able to celebrate though, because I havent been feeling good this past week. For the whole week, Ive felt like im about to get sick, but it hasnt come full blown yet. I hope it only gets better tomorrow, not worse! Anyways, im making spaghetti, dip, and a birthday cake, so i got a busy day tomorrow!

Well I have been keeping up with my politics, and i have got to admit, I am scared! Hillary isnt doing bad, Obama is just doing a little better. We have the March 3rd primaries coming up, but Hillary needs to pull something out of her hat for this one! Im still crossing my fingers, and no body better rule her out just yet! This race isnt finshed yet!

What else.....oh yeah, the shooting that happened yesterday at a university in Illinois. The guy shot 23 people, and killed 5 in addition to himself. I mean, I dont even know what to think about this stuff anymore. That is why I think guns should totally be BANNED!! Yes, because it seems to me that just about anybody can get their hands on a gun if they wanted to...including all these psycho people that already have! I read somewhere where someone said that this is a reason why guns SHOULD BE LEGAL, because then someone would have shot him before he could shoot that many people. Im sorry, but that is total B.S.!!! We dont need everyone able to run around with guns on them at all!

Well, that is all that comes to mind right now. Im kind of tired, and I havent been able to really catch up with the latest news that well today, because I have been working. My day was filled with fart and booty jokes, and Star Wars and Spiderman! =)

Romney Out!

Republican candidate Mitt Romney has dropped out of the race. Now the front runner of the GOP is John McCain.

He says that the reason that he dropped out of the race is because he realized that he wasnt the cadidate that could win against Clinton or Obama, after Super Tuesday. So he is "doing it for his country".

Either way, I dont think its gonna be a Republican in the White House, in 2009! At least I hope not!

A Confession??

I dont know if you all caught 20/20 on Monday night, but there was footage of Joran Van Der Sloot "confessing" and saying what "really" happened to Natalee Halloway. There is still something fishy about his story, and I dont know if it is actually true, but is it enough to convict him??

We will have to see what this turns out to be!

Shaq Being Traded to Phoenix Suns

After four years with Miami Heat, Shaq is being traded to the Suns. In return the Suns are giving the Miami Heat two of their players. The Miami Heat right now have the worst record, and the Suns have the best. They think that by getting Shaq in their team, they stand a chance against Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs.

I Forgot to Mention....

The New York Giants win Superbowl 42!!!

They won the "history making, record breaking" New England Patriots. i am so glad that they won. They made their whole 18-0 season go down the drain. And yes, maybe I might hold a grudge against them because they kicked the Chargers our of the playoffs, but also becasue they are CHEATERS!

Last year it was Peyton Manning winning the Superbowl, and getting MVP, this year....
Eli Manning won the Superbowl and got MVP...imagine how their mother feels!! =)

Uncle Makes Decision to Drop Baby Out of Window

He said that he made eye contact with an officer down below, and that he trusted that he would catch the baby.

The reason for dropping the baby out a window from the fourth story was because there was a fire. He said that the fire and smoke were becoming unbearable. The baby's mother and father didnt want him to, but he did it anyways. Although the baby is safe and sound now, the parents are still greiving because they lost their 2 year old son in the fire. Also the father is still very badly injured, and still hospitalized.

Tornadoes Hit South, Kills at Least 52

Tornadoes hit Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi and Alabama last night. Because of Super Tuesday, it was getting much coverage, but it was breaking through every now and then.

Very sad! Im glad that it didnt hit Texas, where I have family!

What A Night!

I was pretty much glued to CNN until I fell asleep last night!

I am happy that Clinton has just slightly over 100 Delegate lead over Obama after last night, and that she won California! Its just hard to celebrate knowing that the upcoming elections in Louisiana and Kansas are supposed to be good for Obama. But you have to give it to Hillary....a lot of people thought that she wasnt going to be able to pull it off, and she did. She may not have it in the bag, but she is not out of the game yet....BY FAR!!

So go Hillary!!

SUPER TUESDAY!!!!!

Today is the day!!! I have been so excited for this day all weekend!!!

It's a head to head battle between Clinton and Obama!

I have not voted yet, but I will as soon as Sharah gets home! I have to wait for her, otherwise she wouldnt go! So it doesnt matter what time I vote, all that matters is that I vote, and im so excited! I've been glued to the news, ad the news online all day, as much as I can!

Right now at this moment this is how it is: Clinton = Tenessee and Arkansas
Obama = Georgia and Oklahoma

But it looks like Clinton is ahead in other states right now. I really really hope that Clinton gets the Delegates that she needs for victory! Also, I hope my state pulls through and she wins the delegates in California!!!
