Should This Reflect On Hillary?

Geraldine Ferraro resigned from the Clinton campaign on Wednesday, for these remarks that she made on Barack Obama: "If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman, he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept".

For some reason, I really dont think that she meant anything "racist" on what she said, yes, it was referring to his race, but I dont think that she meant it in a bad way. I mean, if you really think about it, the country is caught up on him being African American, and though they (the country) are not being racist, they sure are being sexist, which to me is just as bad as being racist.

I dont know much about Ferraro, but I know that she did the right thing by stepping down, so that she doesnt hurt Hillary more then she already has.

But will this woman and her comments reflect on Hillary? Im sure it will, and I think its wrong. They want to make her the one that is playing the race card, when mostly all African Americans are voting for Barack Obama JUST because he is black. Ive heard it with different minorities, "I voted for Obama, because he's a minority". I think thats wrong! Just because he's a minority, doesn't mean he has the experience to run a country. Oh well people are gonna think what they want to think i guess!

I agree, I don't think she meant her comment to be racist. BUT, BOTH SIDES have made big deals about comments made by top level campaign workers. This tells me that it's just business as usual in the campaigning world.
Yes, Hillary has lots of experience, but I'll take common sense over experience any day. But then again, not too many politicians have common sense.
