Barona Strikes Again

Last night, me, Sharah, and Marie headed to Barona Casino, in hopes of winning of course. We didnt. We all did the walk of shame. I lost $20, which may not be that much, but it's still a loss. I hardly ever win, and i HATE losing. I guess thats why I keep going back, it's kinda like "I want a re-match Barona!" But Barona still keeps kicking my ass! At least it wasnt one of those 30 minute losses. I played on $20 for almost 2 hours.

Anyway, the plan for today? I don't know yet. It's 1:15, and i just woke up less then 2 hours ago. So half of the day is gone already. Oh well, I guess that's what the weekends are for!

I wanted to go to the outlets in San Ysidro, to return something from the GAP, but i think I may be too lazy to even do that! The thing that gets me lazy is thinking about getting ready. I wish I can just jump in the shower, get out, throw any clothes on without thinking about it, and put no make-up on, and leave my hair to air dry. But i can't! Not that it's physically impossible, it's just something me, myself could not do. Im one of those people that can't stand going to even the store without taking a shower, and if I dont shower, it takes me just as long to fix up. I hate that about myself, but I cant help it!

3 Day Weekend For Me!

I have no work tomorrow. My boss Robyn and the boys are headed to Fullerton, to visit her mom for the last time before she moves to Portland, Oregon.

We went to Seaworld yesterday, to celebrate Connor's (the older boy) birthday which was at the beginning of the month, but there was a lot of stuff going on at that time, so we celebrated it yesterday. The weather was perfect. I wore a long sleeve shirt, and never got really hot. I must have been so tired or something, because I fell asleep a little before 6 in the evening, and woke up at around 10, and ate a cup of noodles, and went back to sleep and didnt wake up till about 8 this morning. So I got a lot of sleep!

Im not sure what im doing this weekend, but im thinking casino?? I havent been to the casino for more then a month. I was saving up for when the kids were here. Now I have the Blackjack itch!

We'll see though. I really shouldn't, I need to save up for my best friends Laura and Frankie's gift for their baby girl. I think im gonna get them a good gift, because im really excited for this baby, and I know im gonna spoil it as if she were my own niece!

Well have a good weekend!

I Miss My Babies!!

I had my niece and nephew in San Diego with me from last Wednesday, until yesterday. It seems like a long time, but it wasnt enough time. We did a lot, but we didnt even get a chance to do everything I wanted to do with them!

We arrived in SD in the evening on Wednesday, and we stayed here at my home, the kids played Rock Band for a long time.

On Thursday, I had to go to work, from 10-2, so the kids went with me. We just hung out with the boys (Connor and Spencer) at their house. They went in the jacuzzi for a little while, and then we went to McDonalds for lunch. After work, I took the kids to Boomer's. And boy did they have fun there! They got to do the batting cages, bumper boats, go karts, miniature golf, arcade games....lots of fun! We were there from about 4:30 till about 9:30! They really liked that place! After Boomer's, I took them to this spot by the airport called Harbor Island, to see if we can see the fireworks from Seaworld. We kind of saw them, but there was a tree in the way. But the kids really enjoyed seeing the San Diego Skyline all lit up. And the weather was perfect! After that, we went and checked into our hotel. I got a hotel, so the kids would be more comfortable, and we would have more space. It was good though, because it was a hot weekend, and we had access to the swimming pool there! The kids loved that!

Friday, I had to go to work again at the same time. We went to a park, that over looks the lake in Eastlake, but it was TOO hot there, the kids werent having fun. So we went to Chuck E Cheese, and were there for about 3 hours! They had fun there! After work on, the kids went swimming for awhile, then got ready to go to the San Diego County Fair. Sharah and Kylah went with us. We went at about 6:30, and were there till about 10:30. It was fun. Miranda won some prizes for herself, Fabien tried but no luck. They went on some rides. Honestly though...i would have rather taken them back to Boomers, because the fair was WAAAYYY more expensive, and they did less then Boomer's. But they had fun, and that what counts.

Saturday was like one of the hottest days ever!! We decided to sleep till we woke up on our own. So we got up got ready, and it was about 10 by then. Again Sharah and Kylah were with us. We went to a place called "Cafe on Park" for breakfast. I had never been there, but it was on of the top 10 places for breakfast in SD, so we thought we would try it out. It was good!!! The kids loved it! Especially Fabien. They had the biggst pancakes I had ever seen, and according to Miranda, the were the "goodest pancakes she ever had" (thats the way she said it Mom, not me!) They were really good though, because I dont like pancakes, but I liked these! I liked them enough to actually order them next time! So after that, we headed to La Jolla to the beach. It was soooo crowded, and parking was so tough to find, but we got lucky, and found something. Fabien and Miranda were out there in the ocean right away...Kylah...not so much, she stayed behind playing with the sand. We were only there for less then an hour, because it was too hot to be out there, and we were getting dehydrated. At least the kids got to go for a little bit at least. After that, we went to cool off and got some frozen yogurt. Finally, we went back to to the hotel, and the kids went straight into the pool! My mom and John arrived a little after. We went to dinner at Chevy's that night.

Sunday we went to Cafe Coyote at the request of John, and after off my babies went! =(

It was really nice having them around, and I wish they were still here!

It was VERY tiring, but very well worth it!! I miss them like crazy. But I know they had fun, and im so glad they did, and that they will have something to brag about after summer is over. How many kids get to spend 5 days in San Deigo with their Auntie??

So Sweet...

So today, while I was at work, the oldest boy that i take care of (Connor, 7) was showing me all his stuff that he brought home from school, like all his work, and art and all that stuff you get back at the end of the year. Anyways, there was a page in one of his workbooks, that said what is your favorite time of day?...morning, afternoon, or night. He chose afternoon. Then it asked him why it's his favorite time of the day, and he put, "because I get to play with my babysitter." Awwww....how sweet huh? His favorite time of day is being with me. It was so cute! I just thought I would share that, because I was so touched by it.

Tomorrow I am headed back home to Greenfield. I'm driving, which I am dreading, just because I have gotten so used to flying. But im gonna be there for more then just the weekend, so i really need my car. Im gonna off of work Friday through Wednesday, so I decided to take advantage, and get out of the big city for those days. But wish me luck, because traffic is going to be a bitch, because Northern SD is going to be so congested with traffic. We have the US Open going on in Torrey Pines, and then we have the SD County Fair in Del Mar starting tomorrow, so its gonna be ridiculous. Good thing I wont be in a hurry, because no matter what time I leave tomorrow, im gonna be screwed even if I leave at night, because people are gonna be coming and going to the fair at all times. But oh well, I should survive it.

Oh Man...

I am TIRED! I didnt get to sleep last night until about 4 in the morning. No reason, just couldn't sleep. Well actually, my legs were hurting. I call them growing pains, because thats what my mom used to tell me when i was younger, because I always got it at night. Another thing its called is Restless Leg Syndrome, but people say there's no such thing. Whatever it is, i got it! It happens every couple nights, where i cant sleep cuz my legs are killing me, and i have to constantly be moving my legs, and I have to fall asleep shaking my leg. It's horrible! Anyways, so i finally fell asleep around 4, and then i woke up before 7, because I had to take Kylah (my friend Sharah's niece) to school, because everyone was at work. And now im still up, and havent been able to go back to sleep, and i have to start getting ready for work soon. Ughhhh...its just gonna be one of those days! Im totally gonna need coffee!!

My Weekend

This weekend, I went back home to Nothern Cali. I arrived on Thursday, and then on Friday morning, we got up and got ready, and went to my cousin Felix's high school graduation from Righetti High in Santa Maria. It was really nice to see family that I havent seen in a very very long time. I hadn't seen my cousin Sonia, or my Tia Olivia since maybe 2002. And I hadnt seen my little cousins Felix and Reyna for even longer then that, and my have they grown up! They are both so big, both taller then me, as you can see in the picture above. But it felt good to be around people that have the same blood as I do, and that have similar features as i do. I never am around anyone that looks like me, except for the times when I go back home.

We went back to Greenfield on Friday afternoon, and we just hung out at my mom's, and John bbq'd some burgers. Then Saturday we got up and headed to Marina for Miranda's All Star softball game. Then Fabien had a game, but he isnt playing right now, because his ankle is still healing. Hopefully he can play in his upcoming tournament, but I really dont think so, because he is still limping a lot. I dont think he is able to run on it. I love watching him play ball though. And as he gets older, its even better. I love watching Miranda play too, but only when she's up to bat, because she almost always gets a hit and scores a run. When she's out on the field, its a little different, just because she's still young, and it is very apparent when she gets bored of standing out there. Then Saturday night, the whole family went to see the movie You Don't Mess With The Zohan. Thats a funny freakin movie!! Go watch it if you havent already!

I stayed in Marina on Saturday night with my sister and the babies, because I was flying out early in the morning from Monterey on Sunday, and Marina is closer then Greenfield. So I said my goodbye's to Mom and John on Satuday night, and then to everyone else on Sunday morning, and off I went.

Sherie and Jay picked me up from the airport, we went to eat lunch, I came home and was so tired that i felt sick. I tried to sleep, and i did here and there, but not straight.

This weekend was pretty exhausting, I dont know how the rest of my family does it every weekend with activities going on all the time. And I especially dont know how my mom and John do it, with being on the older side you know...LOVE YOU MOM! =)

Tomatoes With Salmonella

So I went to Subway today, to get a Tuna Melt for dinner, after work, and they had signs up that said they have no tomatoes, and they will not have any till further notice. I was like hmmm??? Whats this about, and so i asked one of the "sandwich artists" (which is what they say when they are advertising for a opening to work at Subway, which i think is pretty funny.), and she told me that there is a case of tomatoes having salmonella, and that a lot of fast food places have taken out their tomatoes.

All I think about this really is, good thing I dont eat tomatoes!

It's Finally Over!

Barack Obama won the presidential campaign to be the Democratic nominee today. As most of you all know, I was really rooting for Hillary. But although it was a close race, it's over. Im not totally disappointed that Obama won, he is a good candidate, I just wish he had more experience. But its said and done with now, and I have to support him, because he represents me as a Democrat. Now all we have to do is beat John McCain in November! Who will be running as Vice President with Obama??? Hmmm...Obama/Clinton???? Wouldnt be bad at all!!
