I Miss My Babies!!

I had my niece and nephew in San Diego with me from last Wednesday, until yesterday. It seems like a long time, but it wasnt enough time. We did a lot, but we didnt even get a chance to do everything I wanted to do with them!

We arrived in SD in the evening on Wednesday, and we stayed here at my home, the kids played Rock Band for a long time.

On Thursday, I had to go to work, from 10-2, so the kids went with me. We just hung out with the boys (Connor and Spencer) at their house. They went in the jacuzzi for a little while, and then we went to McDonalds for lunch. After work, I took the kids to Boomer's. And boy did they have fun there! They got to do the batting cages, bumper boats, go karts, miniature golf, arcade games....lots of fun! We were there from about 4:30 till about 9:30! They really liked that place! After Boomer's, I took them to this spot by the airport called Harbor Island, to see if we can see the fireworks from Seaworld. We kind of saw them, but there was a tree in the way. But the kids really enjoyed seeing the San Diego Skyline all lit up. And the weather was perfect! After that, we went and checked into our hotel. I got a hotel, so the kids would be more comfortable, and we would have more space. It was good though, because it was a hot weekend, and we had access to the swimming pool there! The kids loved that!

Friday, I had to go to work again at the same time. We went to a park, that over looks the lake in Eastlake, but it was TOO hot there, the kids werent having fun. So we went to Chuck E Cheese, and were there for about 3 hours! They had fun there! After work on, the kids went swimming for awhile, then got ready to go to the San Diego County Fair. Sharah and Kylah went with us. We went at about 6:30, and were there till about 10:30. It was fun. Miranda won some prizes for herself, Fabien tried but no luck. They went on some rides. Honestly though...i would have rather taken them back to Boomers, because the fair was WAAAYYY more expensive, and they did less then Boomer's. But they had fun, and that what counts.

Saturday was like one of the hottest days ever!! We decided to sleep till we woke up on our own. So we got up got ready, and it was about 10 by then. Again Sharah and Kylah were with us. We went to a place called "Cafe on Park" for breakfast. I had never been there, but it was on of the top 10 places for breakfast in SD, so we thought we would try it out. It was good!!! The kids loved it! Especially Fabien. They had the biggst pancakes I had ever seen, and according to Miranda, the were the "goodest pancakes she ever had" (thats the way she said it Mom, not me!) They were really good though, because I dont like pancakes, but I liked these! I liked them enough to actually order them next time! So after that, we headed to La Jolla to the beach. It was soooo crowded, and parking was so tough to find, but we got lucky, and found something. Fabien and Miranda were out there in the ocean right away...Kylah...not so much, she stayed behind playing with the sand. We were only there for less then an hour, because it was too hot to be out there, and we were getting dehydrated. At least the kids got to go for a little bit at least. After that, we went to cool off and got some frozen yogurt. Finally, we went back to to the hotel, and the kids went straight into the pool! My mom and John arrived a little after. We went to dinner at Chevy's that night.

Sunday we went to Cafe Coyote at the request of John, and after off my babies went! =(

It was really nice having them around, and I wish they were still here!

It was VERY tiring, but very well worth it!! I miss them like crazy. But I know they had fun, and im so glad they did, and that they will have something to brag about after summer is over. How many kids get to spend 5 days in San Deigo with their Auntie??
